Off-Site Housing History

The military off-site housing located in the County of Bucks has been declared surplus property resulting from the BRAC 2005 action closing NAS-JRB Willow Grove. The ownership of the off-site housing was transferred to Willow Grove in 1999 from the former Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) Warminster. These housing assets known as Jacksonville Road Housing and Shenandoah Woods Housing are located between six and eight miles away from NAS-JRB Willow Grove. The NAS-JRB Willow Grove Off-site Housing consists of the following two non-contiguous land parcels:

Shenandoah Woods Housing

The Shenandoah Woods Housing area currently encompasses 51 acres of land located at Orion Road and Bristol Road in Warminster, PA. Shenandoah Woods Townhouse development consists of housing quarters totaling 199 townhouse units, which were constructed in 1974. Shenandoah Woods is located approximately eight miles east of NAS-JRB Willow Grove. The site is provided full utility service through Warminster Township.

Jacksonville Road Housing

The Jacksonville Road housing area contains six single-family, ranch-style homes with single car detached garages. The site is located on 2.5 acres on Jacksonville Road in between Bristol Road and Street Road in Ivyland Borough. Jacksonville Road Housing is located approximately six miles east of NAS-JRB Willow Grove
